Day 1: Arrive Maldives

Welcome to the Maldives, where sands are white as the smiles of the locals, where fish swim happily in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, where the weather is a dream, and the deep rays of the sun waits to engulf you in their arms. On arrival you will be transferred to the resort by speedboat. Overnight in Maldives.

Day 2: Maldives

Today, the day is free for leisure. You can choose from many activities the hotel offers, several water sports activities around the resort’s lagoon, scuba diving, or just relax by the freshwater pool. Overnight in Maldives.

Day 3: Maldives

After breakfast, you can spend your day at the beach or at the pool. Stroll around the white sands basking in the sun. Overnight in Maldives.

Day 4: Maldives – Colombo – Kandy

Today, after breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Colombo. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Kandy. En route, visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage which houses abandoned and orphaned elephants. Arrive in Kandy and check in to the hotel. Overnight in Kandy.

Day 5: Kandy

After breakfast, proceed on a city tour of Kandy, including Upper Lake drive, Market Square and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha’s Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orison princess’ hair, the Relic has grown in repute. It is considered Sri Lanka’s most prized possession. Visit Royal Botanical Gardens started in 1374 as a pleasure gardens of the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. There are more than 5,000 species of trees, plants and creepers. Some rare and endemic as well as flora from tropical world are found in the gardens. Spice garden and Orchid hose are popular with tourist. Also visit the Gem and lapidary Museume. Overnight in Kandy.

Day 6: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

This morning, proceed to Nuwara Eliya. En route visit a tea plantation and Tea Factory. This evening enjoy an orientation tour of the British influence. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 7: Nuwara Eliya – Galle – Bentota

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to Bentota. En route, visit Galle. It handles shipping and sailing boats in the natural harbour. Stroll around the Light House and harbour or visit the old town where you can purchase some the finest shell-craft souvenirs in the world. Later arrive in Bentota, a populated beach located in the Galle district and check in. Overnight in Bentota.

Day 8: Bentota – Colombo

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed for the city tour of Colombo. Visit Fort, the former British administrative centre and military garrison, Sea Street – the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, and the Bazaar area. See a Hindu temple with elaborate stone carvings and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. The historic Dawatagaha Mosque and the former Eye Hospital are two buildings in Cinnamon Gardens worth looking at. Also, visit the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall to see the replica of Avukana Buddha. Also the Independence Square. Overnight in Colombo.

 

Day 9: Depart Colombo

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
