Exciting South Africa (08 nights/ 09 days)

Day 1: Arrive Cape Town

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Later proceed on a half day city tour of Cape Town. Take the cable car (additional cost) to the top of Table Mountain (weather permitting) for a panoramic view of the city and coastline. Continue through the historic Malay Quarter, past the South African Museum, with its famed Bushmen exhibits, the Castle and other interesting sights.  Towards the end visit the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. This is South Africa’s most talked about tourist venue with many shops and restaurants. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 2: Cape Town

Today, enjoy a full day tour of Cape Point. Once a fishing community, now is one of the most popular residential areas, the harbour still has a charm of days gone by. You can enjoy a half-hour cruise to “Seal Island” (optional) or for the not so adventurous; a stroll through the fish market “Mariners Wharf” is a must. Continue alongside the Indian Ocean, and stop to see the Jackass Penguin Colony (entrance not included) at Boulders beach near Simon’s Town. Then, travel onwards until you reach Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. Said to be the romantic meeting place of the two mighty oceans, the Atlantic and the Indian. Your last stop of the day is at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, home to some 3500 species of Southern African fauna and flora. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 3: Cape Town

After breakfast, get ready for some adventure with Shark Cage Diving. Upon arrival, the skipper of the day will give a short lecture on shark anatomy and behaviour. Then, proceed to the sea for your shark cage dive experience. At the end of the tour you will be driven back to the hotel in Cape Town. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 4: Cape Town – Knysna

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to Knysna. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel and check in. Later, enjoy John Ben cruise on the lagoon. Overnight in Knysna.

Day 5: Knysna

After breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Oudtshoorn. Experience the Little Karoo at its best, a truly scenic wonder of Africa. This tour covers the magic of this unique area with visits to the vast limestone caverns of the Cango Caves, an ostrich show farm, where you can see, touch and ride an ostrich and the Cheetah Wildlife Ranch, where you will find white tigers, lion, cheetah, crocodile and many more animals. Overnight in Knysna.

Day 6: Knysna – Port Elizabeth

Today after breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed for Port Elizabeth. En-route you can opt for Bloukrans Bridge for Bungy Jumping or proceed to Tsitsikamma Forest for the Zip line experience (optional). Overnight in Port Elizabeth.

Day 7: Port Elizabeth – Shamwari Game Reserve

Today after breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to Shamwari Game Reserve. Enjoy your afternoon game drive in the reserve and return to the lodge for dinner. Overnight in Shamwari.

Day 8: Shamwari Game Reserve

Today, enjoy a full day game drive starting early morning. This will give you an opportunity to view wild animals in their natural habitat as they go about their daily activities. Overnight in Shamwari.

Day 9: Depart Shamwari Game Reserve – Port Elizabeth

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the reserve and return to the lodge for breakfast. Later check out of the lodge and proceed for Port Elizabeth airport for your onward flight back.
